Virtual Tree Lighting Includes Remembrance Of Coronavirus Victims
The virtual tree lighting will begin at 6 p.m.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — Anne Arundel County's tree lighting ceremony in Glen Burnie will be virtual this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. At 6 p.m. when it begins, there will be an observance of 300 seconds of silence in memory of the 300 people who have lost their lives to COVID-19 in Anne Arundel County.
The event will be led by Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman, police chief William Lowry, fire chief Trish Wolford and County Council President Allison Pickard. Join the ceremony on the county executive’s Facebook page at facebook.com/aacoexe.
