The Anne Arundel County Department of Health has issued an advisory against swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and other direct water contacts for Elizabeths Landing, Lombardee Beach and Sunset Beach on Stoney Creek. The advisory has been issued due to a Saturday night 6,500-gallon wastewater spill that resulted from a force main break on Nabbs Creek Road in Glen Burnie. (Patch)

2. Students are welcome to return to school for either two or four days per week for in-person instruction, an option that takes effect this week for some. However, this will cause Anne Arundel County Public Schools Superintendent George Arlotto to be creative when it comes to COVID-19 protocol while prioritizing in-person learning. (Patch)

3. Approximately 42 percent of Anne Arundel County residents are fully inoculated. About 52 percent have gotten at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine. (Patch)
4. The Anne Arundel County Gun Violence Intervention Team will present a free virtual seminar to raise awareness about local firearm violence. The three-part virtual seminar will be June 3 and June 4 in observance of Wear Orange and National Gun Violence Awareness Day. (Patch)
