Worker Dies After 200-Foot Fall from Water Tower

A 21-year-old worker has died after falling from the top of a water tower in Anne Arundel County.

Emergency officials say the man fell 200 feet from the structure in the 3700 block of Mountain Road in Pasadena, reports CBS DC.

Fire personnel at the scene found the man, a contractor who was working on communications equipment, unconscious and unresponsive. Paramedics attempted to resuscitate him, but he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The incident is under investigation by Maryland Occupational Safety and Health. The identity of the worker is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
