$25K Reward Offered for Tips in Lanham Murder

Police found a 26-year-old man in a parking lot Friday night suffering from gunshot wounds. He died later from his injuries, say police.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is asking for the public’s help to solve a murder in Lanham.

Police were called to the 8600 block of Greenbelt Road about 11:15 Aug. 1 for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Shayne Francis Snipes, 26, of Woodthrust Drive in Lanham suffering from gunshot wounds outside in a parking lot. He died of his injuries several hours later.

Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random shooting. Detectives are working to establish a motive and identify the suspect(s) in this case.
