• Mission time doubled: Roman space telescope now has fuel for 22 years instead of 10 (dagens.com) — NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt just confirmed that the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope has enough fuel to operate for at least 22 years, more than double its original plan. Thanks to a precise SpaceX launch and efficient course correction, the Greenbelt-led mission will study dark energy, dark matter, and exoplanets well into the 2040s.
   

• Former USCIS Contractor Faces Charge for Theft of Government Property (crweworld.com) — A federal theft case based in Greenbelt charges a Laurel man, a former USCIS IT contractor, with stealing RAM modules from government laptops valued at over $1,000. Prosecutors say he was observed removing the parts in August, and he now faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted, though sentencing guidelines typically result in less time.
