Does a pooch —even if cute —ever belong in a public swimming pool?
About 200 dogs in Greenbelt's outdoor kiddie pool two weeks ago (September 10).
According to the , their owners were on hand to pick-up and properly dispose of dog feces and to provide proof of vaccinations. None of the dogs were in heat, injured or sick because that would not be permitted "for any reason." The event itself took place in the outdoor pool, after it had already been closed for the year.
Yet, this Greenbelt parent with three kiddie-pool-age kids still wonders: does a pooch — even if cute — ever belong in a public swimming pool?
