On Saturday August 14th, the Greenbelt Police Department will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in Greenbelt in the area of Greenbelt Rd. and Lakecrest Dr. from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. The objective of this checkpoint is to both deter motorists from driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, and to arrest those who ignore the danger of getting behind the wheel while impaired.
