A documentary about Maryland's first State Forester is an official selection of Utopia Film Festival 2015
"Mr. Besley's Forest" explores the origins of scientific forest management in the Old Line State. A thank you to MD's father of forestry.

A story with roots to the state’s current system of forests, parks, and selected open natural-resource places.
“Mr. Besley’s Forest” explores the past, and encourages forest conservation. A reflection on 36-years of public service, and an example by which today’s children can learn woodland stewardship while listening to the music of the trees.
A documentary about Maryland’s first State Forester is an independent film with endorsements from the Carroll County Forestry Board, and the Maryland Committee for Conservation History. The premiere screening will be on Sunday, October 25th at the Old Greenbelt Theatre located at 129 Centerway, Greenbelt, MD.
