"What does our Current Debt Crisis have to do with Climate Change?"

This summer has revealed beginning stirrings in the progressive political world.  Groups such as Van Jones' Rebuild the American Dream, Campaign for America's Future, and Fund Our Communities have captured our attention.  All eyes are on our government, to see if they will be able to resolve our debt crisis before the November deadline.

Meanwhile, some GCAN members have been collecting signatures in support of Offshore Wind Power, while other GCAN members have been learning about civil disobedience and have been intentionally getting arrested, as part of the Tar Sands Action.

What does a balanced budget have to do with with climate change?  In this interactive session, we will examine the Contract for the American Dream and discuss how this will impact on the climate change movement.

We will also have a preview of upcoming fall GCAN topics.
