The annual Lazarus Foundation Charity Golf Tournament at Cross Creek Golf Club will benefit foster youth by providing assistance and support to help them achieve academically and succeed. In the U.S. alone, nearly 25,000 youth age out of foster care every year. The Tournament features: a shot gun start; a Jamaican-themed dinner; great prizes; award ceremony; and special guest golfers.
The DC-based Lazarus Foundation provides foster youth with financial support, educational services, and mentoring to help them become responsible, productive, and economically independent. Started by David Lazarus—a Secret Service agent—and his 10 siblings, the Foundation’s work touches at-risk youth across the United States and the Caribbean. This year’s golf tournament will be a salute to Jamaica’s 50 years of independence.
