An inaugural ball will be held in honor of County Executive-elect Rushern Baker. The black-tie event begins with a cocktail reception at 7 p.m., followed by the dinner and ball at 8 p.m. until midnight. Tickets have sold out to the ball but you can still reserve a seat for other inaugural events, a gospel event Dec. 4 at the National Church of God in Fort Washington or aninterfaith service Dec. 6 at Cheverly United Methodist Church in Cheverly. Those events are free but a ticket is required and can be obtained through Rice Consulting: 1-866-838-0037.
