Explore@NASA Goddard's Open House Today

You don't have to be a kid to enjoy a day of science; you may even meet an astronaut.

Get ready to have a fun- and science-filled day at the FREE open house at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center on Saturday, May 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Greenbelt, Md. "Explore@NASA Goddard" will appeal to the whole family as the center opens its doors for a day of music, food, entertainment and science. See the video teaser (to the right).

Learn about NASA Goddard's research in indoor and outdoor exhibits presented in six zones: Earth Science, Solar System, Universe, Engineering & Technology, People, and On the Mall, which features music from Sweet Honey in the Rock and Milkshake with great tunes for the kids.

Meet "Star Wars" characters, discover what causes an aurora, check out astronauts space suits, see local robotic teams demonstrate their robots, celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first American manned space flight, and lots more.

Visitors to Explore@NASA Goddard will not be allowed to park at Goddard Space Flight Center. It is advised that visitors park in designated free satellite parking lots listed here. Transportation to Goddard will be provided.
