Greenbelt City Council Preview: April 11

The ACE Educator Reception will be held at 7:30 p.m., prior to the city council meeting at 8 p.m.

The Greenbelt City Council will meet Monday at 8 p.m. to discuss various agenda items and legislation that will affect the city.

Several presentations will be made, including the ACE Educator Awards, the Arbor Day Proclamation and the Earth Day Proclamation. The ACE Educator Reception will be held at 7:30 p.m., prior to the council meeting.

Legislative items on the agenda include an Ordinance to Amend Chapter 2, “Administration,” Article IV, “Ethics,” of the Greenbelt City Code for the purpose of updating the section on financial disclosure (second reading, adoption); a resolution to negotiate the purchase of Pool White Coat Services and transition line installation from Wilcoxon Construction of Rockville, Md. (second reading, adoption); and a resolution to negotiate the purchase of fleet management software from Arsenault Associates of Burlington, N.J. (first reading).

Business items on the agenda include the selection of banking services, the CSX Rail Intermodal Facility and the award of bid for the grounds maintenance contract.

The meeting will be held at 8 p.m. at the City of Greenbelt Municipal Building. If you are unable to attend the meeting, it will be broadcast on Channel 71 or 21 on Verizon Fios.
