Man Trapped in Machinery Dies at Quarry

A man trapped in machinery at a Clinton rock quarry has died from his injuries, Prince George’s County officials said.

The accident was reported about 10 a.m. Monday in the 5400 block of Kirby Road, according to Mark Brady, spokesman for the county fire department.

The unidentified victim was pronounced dead shortly after emergency workers arrived, The Washington Post reports.

Authorities have released no details on how the fatal accident took place.

Maryland Occupational Safety & Health Administration officials went to the accident scene Monday morning, Brady said.
