MISHKAN TORAH TO PRESENT FACE HUNGER PROGRAM ON OCTOBER 11
Face Hunger is an interactive simulation program designed to help participants understand some of the complexities of poverty.
The Social Action Committee of Mishkan Torah Synagogue will present a program entitled Face Hunger by the Capital Area Food Bank at the Synagogue on October 11, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Face Hunger is an interactive simulation program designed to help participants understand some of the complexities of poverty. This hands-on program raises awareness and understanding of hunger. Through the simulation, participants assume the roles of persons struggling with hunger as they face the challenges that approximately 134,000 people in Prince George’s
County experience every day.
The event is free and open to the public. However so that the Capital Area Food Bank’s leader can bring sufficient materials, please RSVP to Sara Rosen at boysies.rosen@verizon.net. Mishkan Torah is located at 10 Ridge Road in Greenbelt.
