Mishkan Torah to Sponsor Homeless Walk on October 1
Mishkan Torah to Sponsor Homeless Walk on October 19 at 12:30. Funds go directly to the local nonprofit, Community Crisis Services, Inc.
The Social Action Committee of Mishkan Torah Synagogue is proud to sponsor the annual Help the Homeless Walk, which benefits the Community Crisis Center of Prince Georges County. The event will be held on Sunday,October 19, at 12:45. The entire community is invited to participate.
The walk will commence at Mishkan Torah Synagogue, which is located at 10 Ridge Rod in Greenbelt. Participants should meet at 12:45 on October 19, 2014, but arrive at 12:30 if you plan to register on the day of the walk.
The walk will proceed around Greenbelt Lake in Buddy Attic Park, a distance of approximately 2 miles . Registration for the walk is is required. The registration fee is $20 per walker or $50 for a family of three or more. You may register in person at the event as stated above or you can register online.

The money raised will be used to help those in the community without homes. Funds go directly to the local nonprofit, Community Crisis Services, Inc. (CCSI), to support its Homeless Services Division, which includes the Warm Nights Emergency Hypothermia Shelter Program.
