As the world Jewish Community prepares to celebrate the advent of the New Year 5774 on Rosh HaShanah, Thursday September 5, 2013, Mishkan Torah Synagogue is preparing two special family centered events to mark the occasion. Education Director Bret Goldstein will lead a special Rosh HaShanah seder on the eve of the New Year on Wednesday, September 4 at 6:00 PM at the Synagogue. The seder will usher in the New Year in the Sephardic tradition by way of the Jewish Community of India. The seder dinner will be a welcoming and joyous occasion, filled with symbolic foods, stories, and songs. The event will be directed towards families and children. The event will be open to the whole community without charge, but reservations are necessary. Please RSVP to www.ChildrensEd@MishkanTorah.org.
On Rosh HaShanah, Thursday September 5, 2013 Mishkan Torah will have a Family Service and Toddler/Program beginning at 10:00 am. This will be followed by a Taschlich observance at Greenbelt Lake at 12:30. The program will conclude at approximately one PM.
