Mishkan Torah will celebrate Jordan Choper's 80th birthday on Dec. 6 at 3 pm

The party will feature recorded music from different decades, dancing, special presentations, and of course, ice cream and cake.

Come and help Jordan blow out the candles as he celebrates his eightieth year. Jordan says that in lieu of presents, he prefers donations in honor of his milestone birthday to Mishkan Torah. Although there is no charge for the party, attendees are encouraged to make reservations. Reservations and donations may be made by calling the Synagogue (301-474-4423) or by using the form on this Mishkan Torah webpage.

Jordan Choper has been a fixture of Greenbelt and Mishkan Torah for approximately half a century. He has served on Mishkan Torah’s Social Action Committee, Children’s Education Committee, and Building Commttee. Has has served twice as Mishkan Torah’s Executive Vice President and twice as President.

Jordan taught courses in general biology at Montgomery County Community College from 1967 through 2000. For the last ten years, Jordan has been actively involved with the Greenbelt Lion’s Club, a service organization dedicated to working with the deaf and visually impaired, culminating in Jordan’s recently completed tenure as president.
