More Than 600 Teachers Will Join PGCPS This Year
New teachers prepare for 2013-2014 school year during three-day training session.

Prince George’s County Public School teachers—new and old—are preparing for the upcoming academic year through the Professional Educator Induction Program.
More 600 teachers began their new careers at PGCPS today during training sessions and events at Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School and Barack Obama Elementary School, both in Upper Marlboro.
The sessions, led by master teachers, will introduce the incoming teachers to the county school system’s curriculum, resources, and routines so they are ready for the first day of school August 19.
