Police Ask for Help in Search for Missing Man

The elderly Hyattsville man has dementia and has been missing since Sunday afternoon, Prince George's County Police say.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding an elderly Hyattsville man with dementia who has been reported missing.

Ghayth Nur Kashif, 81, was last seen in the 6800 block of Greenvale Parkway in Hyattsville on Oct. 19 at about 3:30 p.m.

Authorities say Kashif suffers from dementia and may be in need of medication.

Kashif is described as an African-American man, 5’2”, 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black kufi, blue suit jacket, brown sweater, brown plaid shirt and black pants.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Regional Investigation Division- Northern Region at (301) 699-2601.
