Police: Carjacker Hits Minivan, Crashes into McDonalds

The car that crashed into a McDonald's in Prince George's County on Tuesday was allegedly stolen.

A suspected carjacker who crashed into a McDonald’s in Hyattsville on Tuesday allegedly said it was just an accident and nothing more.

Prince George’s County police say the suspect allegedly approached a man sitting in his SUV at the intersection of Annapolis Road and 71st Avenue early Tuesday, asking for a ride, WJLA reports. After refusing to give the suspect a ride, the suspect implied he had a weapon. The owner of the SUV got out of the car and ran.

During his getaway, the suspect allegedly hit a minivan, the news station reports. The driver of the minivan followed the suspect and saw the vehicle crash into the drive-thru at the McDonald’s on the 6200 block of Annapolis Road.
