Pollinator Gardens Built for National Public Lands Day

On Saturday, September 26, over 50 volunteers built butterfly gardens, planted trees, and removed weeds at Greenbelt Elementary School.

Thanks to over 50 volunteers who participated in Greenbelt’s National Public Lands Day!

Thanks to volunteers, two new pollinator gardens were built, trees were planted, and weeds were removed to create an outdoor classroom and beautiful gardens at Greenbelt Elementary School.

The project was a team effort by the Greenbelt Public Works Department, the Chesapeake Education, Arts and Research Society (CHEARS), and the Greenbelt Elementary School PTA.
