Psi Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated(R) will Host Youth Enrichment Open House for High School Students

Laurel, MD - Psi Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is hosting a free academic enrichment and mentorship Open House to showcase the launching of the ASCEND youth development program.

ASCEND is a youth enrichment program designed to motivate, engage, and assist high school students in reaching their maximum potential. ASCEND will focus on Achievement, Self-Awareness, Communication, Engagement, Networking, and Development Skills. Students in the ASCEND program will have the opportunity to receive academic enrichment and life skills training to support their journey to college or vocational employment.

Please join us Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Beltsville Library located at 4319 Sellman Road, Beltsville, Maryland 20705 from 11:00AM-1:00PM. This Open House will explore all the benefits and noteworthy information available to young aspiring teens by partnering and participating in the ASCEND program. This is a FREE informational Open House and we invite all neighboring high school youth and their families to attend. Psi Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® was chartered on April 29, 2007. The chapter has proudly served the communities of Laurel, Bowie, and Greenbelt, Maryland through innovative programs of service such as: the Emerging Young Leaders Mentoring Program, Annual Domestic Violence Symposium, Community Health Fair, Heart Café promoting Heart Disease Awareness, and community partnering with organizations that are mission driven to uplift the communities in which the chapter serves.
