Suspect Arrested in Suitland Stabbing Death: Police

Prince George's County Police have not identified the man found stabbed to death early Monday.

A Bladensburg man has been charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of a man found in Suitland, authorities say.

Prince George’s County Police say they have arrested Nelson Howard Ford, 36, of the 5600 block of Emerson Street in Bladensburg in Monday’s homicide.

The victim’s name will be released once his family has been notified, authorities said. Detectives do not believe this was a random act.
Police were called about 2 a.m. Monday to the 4700 block of Huron Avenue for a stabbing. A man was found outside suffering from a stab wound. He died a short time later at a hospital.

Officers spotted Ford -- who had been identified as a suspect -- walking nearby and took him into custody. Police have not disclosed what let to Ford as a suspect.
