Volunteers needed to dig into Eco-Gardening at Schrom Hills Park in Greenbelt

Learn about chemical free, environmentally friendly
gardening while getting your hands dirty at the Three Sisters Demonstration
Garden at Schrom Hills Park in Greenbelt Maryland!  The “three sisters” gardening concept originates
from the Native American style planting arrangement of corn, beans, and squash
that allowed each crop to support one another, much like natural ecosystems do.
We’ll be spending the morning planting,
weeding, mulching the raised beds and surrounding grove of fruit trees.  Be prepared to work outdoors, and bring work
gloves and gardening equipment if you gave them.  Remember to stay hydrated by bringing a reusable
water bottle, as well!
