One Rescued From Route 40 Crash: Susquehanna Hose Company
A crash required a rescue using the jaws of life Sunday evening in Havre de Grace, according to officials.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Firefighters rescued one person from a crash near US 40 Sunday evening in Havre de Grace. The victim was hospitalized, according to the Susquehanna Hose Company.
The crash happened at the intersection of US 40/Pulaski Highway and Old Post Road before 6:30 p.m., officials said.
Firefighters used the jaws of life to rescue one person who was trapped, according to the hose company. The jaws of life is a special tool that helps pry open vehicles.

By 6:52 p.m., the Susquehanna Hose Company reported the person had been rescued.
Once the victim had been freed from the car, officials said the Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps took one person to Johns Hopkins Bayview Trauma Center.
