Volunteers showed up Friday on Arbor Day to plant more than 150 trees at Swan Harbor Farm.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Volunteers gathered at Swan Harbor Farm on Arbor Day to plant more than 150 native trees.
During the event, it was announced that Harford County has once again earned the Arbor Day Foundation’s Tree City USA designation in recognition of its ongoing commitment to effective forest management, officials stated.
“We appreciate the many volunteers who took the time to come out and help plant trees that will serve our community for generations,” Harford County Executive Bob Cassilly said at the event. “Expanding buffer zones, increasing forest cover and creating wildlife habitat will help reduce pollution and also demonstrates the power of working together to protect and enhance our natural environment.”
