17 Guns, Drugs Found In HdG Crack Investigation: Police
An investigation into crack cocaine sales in Havre de Grace led to a trove of weapons, police reported.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — A Havre de Grace man is facing drug distribution charges after local police and the Harford County SWAT team searched his residence.
Officials served the search and seizure warrant on Thursday after a three-month investigation into the suspected sale of crack cocaine, according to a statement from the Havre de Grace Police Department.
Melvin Tyrone Earl, 59, of the 100 block of Garfield Court, is charged with distribution of narcotics, possession of drugs other than marijuana and creating a common nuisance by distributing narcotics. Additional firearm and drug charges are pending, police said Friday.

Crack cocaine, 17 firearms, ammunition, electronic scales and packaging material for drug distribution were found in his residence, according to officials.
Police reported Friday evening that Earl was being held on $50,000 bail.
