2 Arrests, BMW Theft, Assault: Havre de Grace Crime

Man fakes injuries for ambulance, traffic stop leads to drug charges and other incidents were reported to Havre de Grace police.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The Havre de Grace Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

A child abuse case in the 300 block of Girard Street was referred to the Child Advocacy Center at approximately 10 a.m. on Feb. 20.

A 46-year-old man from the 4400 block of Perkins Place in Belcamp was charged with making a false report. He called 911 to say he had a broken foot and other injuries. When medics arrived at the 400 block of North Union Avenue at 7:03 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, they found that he had no injuries whatsoever.

A white BMW with Maryland registration PET3143 was stolen from the 300 block of Commerce Street at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 18. The thief used the spare key.

A 23-year-old Havre de Grace man from the 200 block of Tidewater Drive was charged with possession of marijuana greater than 10 grams, possession of drugs other than marijuana and possession with intent to distribute drugs. Police pulled him over in the 600 block of Franklin Drive for running a stop sign at midnight on Friday, Feb. 17, and found a clear plastic baggie with prescription pills and suspected marijuana.

An assault was reported in the 1300 block of Halls Road at 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 17.

A wallet, phone and keys were stolen from the 100 block of Gracecroft Drive at 11:01 p.m. on Feb. 17 during a domestic incident.

Money and ID cards were reported stolen from a purse in the 700 block of Congress Avenue at 11 a.m. on Feb. 17.
