2 Easter Egg Hunts Near Havre de Grace

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Easter is nearly here, and that means the hunts are on. This weekend brings two Easter egg hunts for children in and around Havre de Grace.

The free Easter egg hunt sponsored by the Havre de Grace Recreation Committee starts promptly at noon, so be forewarned that you may blink and miss it. There will be age groupings and specials for children age 2 and under and ages up to 11. Every egg contains a prize. An Easter bunny will be available for photos at the event; bring the camera. The hunt starts at noon on Saturday, April 15, at Tydings Park, Commerce and South Washington streets, Havre de Grace.

The Restore Church Easter egg hunt is one of the largest around, drawing children in droves. Registration isn't necessary, but those who preregister will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Toys R Us gift card. The hunt will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, at Perryville High School, 1696 Perryville Road, Perryville.
