$479 Camera Stolen From Maritime Museum: HdG Police

A man smoking crack in a vehicle, theft of a $150 speaker and other crimes were reported in Havre de Grace recently, officials said.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD - A nearly $500 digital camera was stolen from the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum this week, police said.

The Canon SX40 HS was reported stolen at 11:56 a.m. on Sunday, July 30.

At the time of the theft, the camera was in a classroom at the museum, which is located in the 100 block of Lafayette Street.

Police said the camera is valued at $479.

A 53-year-old Havre de Grace man faces drug charges after a person was reported in a vehicle smoking cocaine in the 1100 block of Revolution Street. The man, who lives in the 700 block of Pulaski Highway, was reading a newspaper in his vehicle when an officer arrived on Friday, July 28. He was charged with drug possession other than marijuana and possession of paraphernalia after the officer found suspected cocaine and related items in his auto.

A Bluetooth speaker worth $150 was stolen from a bag that was left unattended in Hutchins Park in the 100 block of Congress Avenue around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, July 21.

Tools were stolen from the 100 block of Deaver Street, reported at 7:32 a.m. on Friday, July 21. The burglar(s) entered the garage through a back window.
