5 Thefts, 3 Vehicles Vandalized: HdG Police Blotter
Also in this week's blotter, police said a Havre de Grace man was arrested in Baltimore City.
The Havre de Grace Police Department provided the following information. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Thefts
Just after 7 p.m. on July 29, an iPod was stolen from the 700 block of Congress Avenue. The victim was playing basketball when someone went through his backpack and took the iPod, estimated to be worth $100.

At 4:30 p.m. on July 29, money was stolen from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the 500 block of Risen Star Court. The $50 in cash that was stolen had been taken from the glove box.
Someone snuck into a residence in the 100 block of Wilson Street, then broke into a box behind a bedroom door. The lock on the box had been picked, and a $100 bill was missing. The theft happened between July 25 and 27.

At 6:30 p.m. on July 26, a ring was reported stolen. A woman said she took her amethyst ring off to take a shower and left it on a table in the 1400 block of Bayview Drive. When she went back to put it on that afternoon, the ring was gone. There were no signs of forced entry. The ring was estimated to be worth $500.
An orange bike was stolen from a yard in the 500 block of Lighthouse Court. The 24-inch Trayl bicycle was estimated to be worth $150 and was taken between July 23 and 26.
HdG Man Arrested
A 34-year-old man from the 300 block of Tidewater Drive was charged with first-degree child abuse and first-degree assault at 6 p.m. on July 29. Maryland State Police arrested the man in Baltimore City on a warrant out of Havre de Grace.
Hospital Assault
Before 3:30 a.m. on July 30, a patient in the 500 block of South Union Avenue assaulted two hospital guards after she was asked to move her bed and refused. More on that here.
Vehicle Vandalism
Both a man’s vehicle and motorcycle were vandalized in the 1100 block of Chesapeake Drive, reported after 5 p.m. on July 28.
The windshield of a 2010 Chevy Cobalt was smashed just after midnight on July 27 near Pennington Avenue at North Stokes Street.
