A Year Later: Where Were You For The Earthquake?

An earthquake shook the eastern seaboard of the United States on August 23, 2011.

Thursday marks the anniversary of that shook and puzzled the region.

It wasn't just the ground, but our comfort that was shaken on August 23, 2011.

Living in Maryland, we're open to the idea that we may get hit with a tropical storm once or twice a year. Those are the disasters for which you can prepare.

A tornado or earthquake? Not so much.

That's one of the reasons why I love living in Maryland: the weather may be zany, but it's fairly predictable.

I was in a meeting with other Patch editors in an old brick building in South Baltimore when the room started shaking.
