Ed Rybczynski shares some of his favorite Havre de Grace sunrise photos.

Ed Rybczynski has taken thousands of photographs.

For the last year, 365 stand out.

Sunday, Ed will have shot one full year of sunrises over the northern Chesapeake Bay and Susquehanna River. Many of them are stunning.

I'll be joining Ed Saturday morning to document his morning routine, and hopefully snap a few sunrise shots of my own along the way, after learning a few tricks to the trade from the master himself.

I'm often up before the sun rises. With a 3-year-old and a 16-month-old, it's a regular routine for me.

But I can kick back on the couch with my kids in the early morning. Have some coffee. Check out some cartoons and read my email.

Ed gets up, goes outside—hot, cold, rain, snow—and shoots the sun rising over the majestic Havre de Grace waterfront.

A mutual friend compared the 365 straight days to Cal Ripken's streak of 2,632 consecutive games played.

Ripken played a kid's game, got paid handsomely, and seldom reported to work before 10 a.m.

Then again, he also didn't get to witness the sunrise like this every morning, either.
