AAUW's Food Fight 2016
Do you watch the Food Network's Chopped show? Then this is the event for you!
Four Harford County chefs will be competing in AAUW's 7th Annual Food Fight which will be held on Monday, May 16 at the beautiful Vandiver Inn. Located at 301 South Union Street in Havre de Grace, the event starts at 6:30 PM.
Modeled after the popular "Chopped" on the Food Network, the chefs will prepare an appetizer and main course from a mystery box in just one hour. Those participating are Private Chef Timothy Weinhold, Dan Nosek from Maryland Golf and County Clubs, Mark Littleton of Bushmill Tavern and Jeremy Wright of Alchemy Elements.
Judge tickets, priced at $40, are limited to 36 participants. However, there are plenty of spectator tickets available priced at $7 with $5 for students and $20 for families.
Additional energy will be added to the entertainment for the evening with Wayne Hepler, Associate Professor of Mass Communications at Harford Community College keeping the audience engaged and Alaina Pippitt, owner of Alaina's Gourmet Creations, offering minute to minute commentary of the chefs' preparations.
A raffle basket will include gift cards from Angles Hair Team, the Vandiver Inn and a 4 course dinner for 2 from Timothy Weinhold as well as a wide variety of Avon products donated by Debbie Erhardt.
Gold sponsor of the event is Aimee O'Neill & Co. Silver sponsors are Jodi Davis of the Kelly Group and Terri Wainwright while Bronze sponsors are Coffee News & Madaco Marketing LLC, Bernadette Low, Janine Seadler and Hazel Hopkins.
