Acting Class for K - 2nd Grade Starts Thursday

Are you looking for something fun and educational for your young child to do this winter? The Havre de Grace Drama Guild is getting ready to start up their annual "Tiny Tots" workshop for children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. The class meets every Thursday from January 5 through February 16 from 4:30 to 6:00 in room 4 of the Havre de Grace Activity Center. Then on Saturday, February 25, the Guild's youngest troupe puts on a one-act show all their own! This year's production will be Hans Christian Andersen tales.

This is always a popular class for the children. They learn basic acting skills such as stage directions and how to develop a character. Then they get to put it all together and act on the Guild's "black box theater" stage to demonstrate all they have learned. Best of all, every Tiny Tot child also gets the opportunity to join with the Guild's two older troupes (Youth Troupe and Teen Troupe) and participate in the big spring musical on March 31 and April 1 on the Havre de Grace High School stage. This year's musical is "Seussical."

Registration is $60 plus a $10 (for Harford County residents) or $15 (for non-residents) administrative fee. There is no additional fee to participate in Seussical. You can get all the information to register your child at http://hdgdramatroop.com/registration.html.
