United Nations sets goals for improving life for those in poverty.

Addressing the Fundamental Causes of Inequality Internationally is the topic of the February 15th AAUW meeting which is open to the public. Eileen Menton, formerly of the Department of Justice and now a contractor for the Consumer Product Safety Commission will be speaking at HCC in Room 212 of Havre de Grace Hall at 7:00 pm. She will discuss how the international community is addressing inequality within the framework of the UN’s Agenda for Sustainable Development with the goal to end poverty, inequality, injustice and environmental destruction over the next 15 years.
