​Alene Rebecca Johnson, 91, of Havre de Grace

Alene Rebecca Johnson, of Havre de Grace, passed away on Feb, 11, 2017. She was 91.

Mrs. Johnson was born in West Jefferson, North Carolina, to Daniel and Carmen Blackburn. She was the devoted wife of 68 years to Robert Lee Johnson, loving mother of Robert Lee Johnson Jr., and his wife Julie of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Constance Anne Monsson of Port Deposit, Maryland. She was the adored grandmother of Heather Neiman and her husband, Todd, of North East, Maryland, Daniel C. Johnson and his wife, Celeste, of Los Angeles, California, and Robert Lee Johnson III of Clarksville, Tennessee, and great-grandmother of Danielle Ruggio, Adrianna “Emily” Ruggio and Faith Warner. Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her son-in-law, William Monsson and 10 siblings. She is also survived by her cats, “Tang” and “Milo."

Mrs. Johnson volunteered with the Harford Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was an avid gardener. She enjoyed shopping, going out to lunch and watching television, especially the Golden Girls.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, from 5-7 p.m., at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral service will be private.
