2 Forums Planned For Havre De Grace City Council Candidates

Two forums will be held later this month for the city council candidates. Voters can submit questions in advance.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Residents can learn more about the candidates running for three seats on the city council at two community forums.

The election will be held May 5 at the STAR Centre, 700 Congress Ave. Polls will open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. that day.

The first candidate forum will be held April 23 at 6 p.m. at the STAR Centre. Residents can submit questions for consideration at this .

On April 29, the OPAC (Ontario-Otsego Positive Action Committee) Candidate Forum will start at 6:30 p.m., also at the STAR Centre. Questions for this forum can be emailed to HdgOPAC@gmail.com.

Residents unable to attend can watch the forums live at the city's YouTube channel.

Below are the candidates for City Council

Voters who want to vote by mail-in, or absentee, ballot must complete an application first, which can be picked up at city hall or found online. A ballot also can be mailed to voters, but the application to vote absentee must be returned to city hall by April 28 either by mail or personally delivered. The application also can be emailed to info@havredegracemd.com by April 28.

Absentee ballots must be returned to city hall by 5 p.m. on May 5.
