• Havre de Grace police seek suspects after shots fired during attempted car break-in (foxbaltimore.com) — Havre de Grace residents are being asked to check home security footage after suspects fired multiple shots while fleeing an attempted car break-in near Granville Court and Majestic Prince Circle early Saturday. Police say homes and vehicles were hit but no one was injured, and detectives want anyone with video or information to contact them.
   

• Tar spot is still evident, but at much lower levels (americanfarm.com) — Farmers around Havre de Grace are seeing far less tar spot on corn this season, and experts say it's unlikely to hurt yields. A University of Maryland Extension agent based in Harford County explains how this year's hotter summer temperatures helped suppress the disease statewide.
