HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The 63rd Annual Havre de Grace Art Show returns Oct. 17-18 with artists, live music, children's activities and waterfront views at Concord Point and Tydings Memorial parks.
On Saturday, visitors can vote from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the People's Choice Award, which will be presented Sunday in memory of local artist Ezra Berger. Ballots will be available at information booths in both parks.
The show also offers an opportunity to shop for artwork and gifts ahead of the holidays. Families can enjoy story time by local authors near the Tydings Park playground, while live entertainment is scheduled throughout both days.
Cindy Height, one of the event organizers, told Patch that more than 15,000 people typically attend the art show. It is also Harford County's oldest event, Height said.
"New this year, we are asking attendees to bring nonperishable food items to fill our pickup truck to benefit food charities for those in need in Harford and Cecil counties," Height said.
For those who haven't attended the art show yet, Height said they'll love the relaxing waterfront venue, the activities, and the arts and culture surrounding them.
"Today most events charge an admission and we continue to be a free event that the whole family will enjoy," she told Patch.
