For the 2026–2027 academic year, the Cecil College Foundation awarded approximately $487,633 in scholarships to 345 students, helping recipients pay for college and pursue their academic and career goals.

The Cecil College Foundation offers a wide range of scholarships made possible by generous individuals, families, businesses, alumni and community organizations. Scholarships may be based on financial need, academic achievement, a student's chosen field of study, or other criteria established by donors.

Examples include the Hiram C. Brown, Sr. Memorial and F. Donaldson Brown Memorial Scholarship, which supports students interested in the arts and social service. The Foundation also supports students pursuing healthcare careers through initiatives such as the Health Education Lift Program (HELP) Fund. Recent HELP awards provided incoming nursing students with essential equipment, including stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs and other instruments needed for coursework and clinical preparation.

Scholarship awards can range from $100 to full tuition and fees, depending on the scholarship. Foundation funding can help cover tuition, fees, and required textbooks. By easing these costs, scholarships allow students to focus more of their time and energy on their studies and future careers.

Students interested in applying should visit cecil.edu/scholarships and complete the online application by April 30. Applicants must have a Cecil College student email address and password to submit their application. Prospective students who have not yet applied for admission should begin the admissions process to obtain their credentials.

Applicants are encouraged to explain their academic interests, educational goals, career plans, and reasons for requesting scholarship support in their application essay. They should also provide details about extracurricular activities, volunteer work and community service when applicable.

For questions about the application or eligibility, contact the Cecil College Foundation at 410-287-1146 or foundation@cecil.edu.
