There will be a project happening centering around the Susquehanna River railroad bridge.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Don't be surprised to see a helicopter and more activity around the Amtrak bridge over the Susquehanna River. Amtrak will be working on a maintenance project on the bridge around David Craig Park off Union Avenue, officials said.
The Water Street property that the city owns will be used as a staging area for activities including taking workers and materials to and from the bridge site by helicopter.
According to city officials, the railroad company began the project Tuesday, June 25, and it will last about two weeks, or until approximately Tuesday, July 9.

The Susquehanna River Bridge was built in 1906, according to Amtrak. It contains two tracks, and the rail company is proposing a replacement for the structure that would span four tracks. Additional tracks would allow for increased speed and capacity on Amtrak, MARC and Norfolk Southern freight trains, according to a statement from Amtrak. The company said the project would also increase passenger safety and improve navigation for boaters.
