Asleep at Drive-Through, Cocaine in Hospital, Stolen E-Cigs: HdG Crime

See what the Havre de Grace Police Department has been responding to this week.

The Havre de Grace Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents.

A blue and gray Mongoose bike was stolen from the 500 block of Bourbon Street. The bike was not locked. It was valued at $40. The theft was reported at approximately 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30.

An Aberdeen man was cited after police said he fell asleep in his vehicle in the drive-through lane at McDonald's in the 800 block of Pulaski Highway. At 3:35 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, responding officers knocked on the window of the man's blue Chevy Cruze and woke him up. The driver was instructed to pull over. Instead, he drove to the 800 block of Ontario Street, where police located him and issued multiple citations. The 30-year-old from the 200 block of Darlington Avenue in Aberdeen was charged with driving without a license, driving on a revoked license, driving on a suspended license, negligent driving, reckless driving and attempting to elude police by failing to stop.

Theft was reported in the 400 block of South Juniata Street at 7:45 p.m. on Monday, March 28.

Drugs were found among a patient's belongings in the 500 block of South Union Avenue, reported at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 27. Officials found two plastic bags containing a "white rock substance," which was suspected cocaine; one pill, believed to be Oxycodone; one partial rubber glove with residue; one rod; one metal smoking device; and two plastic bags. Charges are pending the outcome of an analysis by Maryland State Police.

Tires were slashed and the paint was damaged on a 2004 Jeep Cherokee parked at the Tidewater Marina. The vandalism was reported in the 100 block of Bourbon Street at 11:25 a.m. on Sunday, March 27.

A couple having an argument in the 500 block of Bourbon Street was referred to the commissioner at approximately 3 a.m. on Sunday, March 27.

A 20-year-old man from the 1200 block of Revolution Street was cited for driving on a suspended license at approximately 12:55 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, in the 2000 block of Level Road.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 25, drug activity was reported in the 600 block of Girard Street. Police interviewed a man suspected of selling drugs and found he was not doing anything illegal.

A package containing two Joyetech electronic cigarettes was stolen from the 500 block of Franklin Street at 12:45 p.m. on Monday, March 21.
