Bainbridge Fire Is Second In Two Months
For the second time in two months, fire broke out at the Bainbridge campus in Port Deposit.
PORT DEPOSIT, MD — Fire broke out at a vacant building on the Bainbridge property Friday night in Port Deposit, according to authorities. It was the second fire in two months at the campus.
Around 8:45 p.m., the Water Witch Volunteer Fire Company was called to the Bainbridge property for a smoke investigation.
Heavy fire was showing when firefighters arrived.

At 9 p.m., the Office of the State Fire Marshal reported a team of deputy state fire marshals was investigating the blaze.

So Cecil County crews could focus on the former Bainbridge property, the Susquehanna Hose Company transferred before 8:30 p.m. to Cecil County Station 72.·
This was the second fire in two months at the same campus.
Another fire struck the Bainbridge Naval Base campus on May 6. That case resulted in the total loss of a building.
