Bainbridge Fire: Susquehanna Hose Company Helped Battle Blaze
Havre de Grace firefighters assisted with the response to a fire Sunday morning at the Bainbridge property in Port Deposit.

PORT DEPOSIT, MD — When fire broke out in Port Deposit early Sunday morning, the Susquehanna Hose Company jumped in to assist. It sent multiple crews to the Bainbridge property, the fire company reported.
A vacant house in the 700 block of Jacob Tome Memorial Highway was ablaze at 12:59 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10, according to the fire marshal. A passerby reported the fire.
The fire marshal said that about 30 firefighters, led by the Water Witch Volunteer Fire Company, battled the blaze.

Multiple engines and the ladder truck from the Susquehanna Hose Company went to Cecil County to assist.
They brought the fire under control in an hour.

The Bainbridge Development Corporation owns the property.
No injuries were reported, and there was no damage, according to the fire marshal.
The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation.
