BB&T Bank Moving to Market Street
The bank will move about a mile south to Tidewater Marina later this spring.
BB&T will vacate its downtown Havre de Grace bank location later this spring in favor of a spot at Tidewater Marina, multiple sources have confirmed to Patch.
The bank is currently located at the "five points" intersection of St. John, Green and Washington streets.

There are no immediate plans for the current bank property, according to sources.
The property is owned by Branch Banking and Trust, with a mailing address in Winston-Salem, NC, according to tax records.
A spokesman with BB&T corporate communications returned a message from Patch seeking comment Thursday, but could not immediately say what the plans were for the current bank property.
One potential use is for civic purposes—the property was included in the 1997 Paresi Study as a proposed town green/amphitheatre. However, the property does have a view of the Susquehanna River, and its location in the center of the downtown arts and entertainment district likely would draw interest from various developers.
