Betty Whitley, 66, of Edgewood

Betty A. Whitley, a resident of Edgewood, died at the age of 66 on Oct. 17, 2016.

She was born in Havre de Grace to Woodrow Henry and Katherine Virginia (Foreman) Shenk. She loved to spend time with her granddaughter and spent many hours at Ice World and attending many of her granddaughter's events. She went to craft shows, enjoyed line dancing with her husband, and as a former Orioles season ticket holder, they attended many baseball games. She was a member of the Defenders of Wildlife.

Survivors include her husband, William L. Whitley; her daughter, Kimberly S. Grimsley and husband, Patrick, of Forest Hill; her granddaughter, Autumn N. Grimsley of Forest Hill; her sister, Nancy Lee Shenk of North East; and her brothers, Frank E. Shenk of Sparta, Virginia, and Woody L. Shenk and wife, Darlene, of Darlington.

Visitation will be from 3–5 and 7–9 p.m.on Thursday, Oct. 20, at McComas Funeral Home, P.A. (Bel Air), 50 W. Broadway, Bel Air, MD US 21014.
