Boy Smashes Window at School: HdG Crime
Stolen briefcase, pot outside bank, drunk driver vs. parked cars and other incidents reported to Havre de Grace police this week.

The Havre de Grace Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents.
Two juveniles were pushing and shoving one another in the hallway at school in the 400 block of Lewis Lane when one ducked; the other shattered a glass window. The juvenile who hit the window was treated at Upper Chesapeake for cuts to his elbow and wrist. Estimated loss was $125. The vandalism was reported at 2:25 p.m. on March 9. Police said it was unknown whether there would be charges.

A briefcase was stolen from a car in the 700 block of Congress Avenue. The briefcase had a large “NASA” sticker on the side of it, in addition to the owner’s name, and contained various papers. The victim had been attending a play at Havre de Grace High School and went out to get cough drops from his Ford Freestyle and left it unlocked afterward. When he returned to the vehicle, the briefcase was gone. Estimated loss was $100. The theft was reported at 1:10 p.m. on March 9.
Two calls for a domestic incident were reported in the 100 block of Bloomsbury Avenue on March 9; police said they were related. The first one came in at 12:38 a.m. and the second at 1:12 a.m. Police said the individuals were referred to the commissioner.

Police arrested a North Carolina man who was parked in front of the bank in the 2000 block of Pulaski Highway. Officers were doing a check around the bank and smelled marijuana coming from a vehicle in the parking lot, so they did a traffic stop. The 31-year-old Durham resident was cited for possession of paraphernalia at 10:57 a.m. on March 7.
A 21-year-old Havre de Grace woman was arrested in the same block where she lives after allegedly hitting several parked vehicles on her street and leaving the scene. At 2:40 a.m. on March 7, police charged the woman, who lives in the 100 block of Goforth Drive, with driving under the influence and hit and run in a crash with property damage.
A rape that occurred in Owings Mills was reported in the 500 block of South Union Avenue; the report came in at 8:55 a.m. on March 6, and the incident occurred two weeks prior. The case was referred to another agency.
An iPhone was stolen from the girls’ locker room at Havre de Grace High School. The theft from the 700 block of Congress Avenue was reported at 2:24 p.m. on March 4.
An assault was reported in the 500 block of Market Street at 8:37 a.m. on March 3.
A Samsung S5 cell phone was stolen from a boat in the 600 block of Concord Street. The boat was unlocked. Estimated loss was $50. The theft was reported at 10:26 a.m. on March 1.
A 32-year-old Abingdon man was arrested for drunk driving after driving the wrong way on Pulaski Highway. The man, who lives in the 3300 block of Garrison Circle, was stopped in the 900 block of Revolution Street at 12:37 a.m. on March 1 and charged with DUI and resisting and hindering arrest.
