The Warriors improved to 2-0 with a 9-6 win against Joppatowne Friday night in Havre de Grace. Junior midfielder/attack Justin Gosnell led the Warriors offense with five goals. He also added an assist and ten groundballs. Senior midfielder/attack Chris Castillo had two goals and six groundballs, and senior attack Kip Brown had a goal and an assist. Senior attack Mark Holloway had two assists and three groundballs. Senior midfielder Dan DiMeo had a goal and a team-best 12 groundballs, as well as handling most of the face-offs for Havre de Grace. Senior defender Ryan Weismiller and sophomore midfielder Brad Davidson added seven groundballs each. Heart Martin had four. Warriors goalkeeper Tyler Coakley had 12 saves and five groundballs, and distributed the ball nicely on clearing passes Havre de Grace coach Brooks Brown said. Havre de Grace visits Harford Tech Monday evening aiming to stay undefeated.
